VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Canucks observed the life and heritage of former trainer, general manager and president Pat Quinn having a moment of silence and signing of "Danny Boy" prior to playing the New Jersey Devils at Rogers Arena on Tuesday.
Quinn died at age 71 Sunday after a long illness.
The Canucks will wear stickers on their helmets together with the initials "PQ" inside a four-leaf clover for the remainder of the season, a fitting nod to some guy known to many as "The Large Irishman," and there are strategies to honor Quinn with a bigger service in a match much later in the season.
