Boston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug will miss 2-3 weeks using a busted finger, the team announced Wednesday.
Krug, who sustained the injury in a 4-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday, has two goals, six points along with a plus-2 rating in 11 matches this year.
The Bruins, who are already without defenseman Zdeno Chara for 4-6 weeks using a knee injury, called back defensemen Joe Morrow and David Warsofsky from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Providence Bruins. Morrow and Warsofsky were scheduled to join the team at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington, Mass., on Wednesday for training and will travel with the team to Buffalo. The Bruins play the Sabres on Saturday.
